Set along the shoreline of Biscayne Bay, Baywood Development reimagines a 1920s Mediterranean Revival estate for contemporary waterfront living. The original barrel-tile roof, arched loggias, and striped canvas awnings were carefully preserved as the anchor of the property, while a new contemporary volume was introduced alongside it, featuring clean glass planes, cantilevered terraces, and a linear infinity-edge pool that steps down toward the bay. The pairing lets each era read clearly on its own terms: the historic villa remains intact as a quiet, formal presence, while the new construction opens fully to the water with wide expanses of glass and outdoor living space. Mature palms and tropical landscaping tie the two structures together, framing a property that treats its history as an asset rather than an obstacle to modern waterfront life.
