Miami Shores Residence brings a tropical modern sensibility to one of Miami’s classic mid-century neighborhoods. Cantilevered roof planes and dark wood slat screens give the two-story volume a strong horizontal presence, while a perforated concrete breeze-block wall, a nod to the area’s MiMo architectural heritage, filters light and privacy into the entry courtyard. A shallow reflecting pool anchors the arrival sequence, its still water and sculptural centerpiece setting a contemplative tone before guests reach the front door. Layered planting, from a green wall along the upper terrace to dense tropical groundcover at grade, softens the architecture’s clean lines and ties the home firmly to its lush, established setting.
